Mrs. McLaren, Masterton, is at the Empire Hotel. Mrs. H. Eiby, -Wellington, has been visiting Te Aroha. Mr. and Mrs. Sliirteliffe, Umaru, arrived in Wellington yesterday. Mrs. V. J. Larner, Auckland, is staying with her daughter, Mrs. R. G. Buckleton, Thompson Hoad. Mrs. M. McGuire, Wellington, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. T. V. Tuohy, Timaru, has returned home. Mrs. E. Bueck, Hawke’s Bay, is visiting her mother, Mr J. Mead, Greytown.
Miss G. Hill, Woodville, who has been spending a holiday at Makomako, has returned home.
Mr. and Mrs. B. Sargent and Miss Sargent, Matamau, Dannevirke, were recent visitors to Pabiatua. Mrs. Archer Hosking, Church Street, Masterton, who has been visiting Wellington, has returned home.
Mrs. Vaughan Kirkhy, Wellington, is spending a holiday at New Plymouth with her mother, Mrs. W. T. Nuttall. Mrs. Oldbury-Jones and Miss Lois Oldbury-Jones, Northland, have returned home after spending a month in Napier.
Miss Barnicoat, Petone, who has been the guest of her niece, Mrs. D. W. Hursthouse, Hastings, has returned home.
Mr. and Mrs. George Sidford, Hawker Street, will leave on a trip to Melbourne and Sydney by the Wanganella on October 26.
Miss Jean Brown, Waikanae, is spending a holiday in Wellington, and is the guest of Mrs. Oldbury-Jones-, Northland.
Miss Myra Post, Wellington, who has been the guest of Mrs. R. J. Gilmour in Invercargill, returned home yesterday.
Miss Ella Gamble, Wellington, paid a brief visit to Cambridge on her way home after spending an extended holiday in Auckland and the north. Mrs. F. O. Austin, Wadestowu, 13 the guest of Mrs. P. H. Hartlaud, Wanganui, for the New Zealand golf championships. Mrs. W. J. Craig, who has been spending a short holiday with her daughter, Mrs. G. Horton Smith, of Wellington, has returned to Takapau. Lady Herdman and Miss Joyce Herdman, who have been visiting England, will leave on December 1 for New Zealand, arriving in Wellington on January 3. Miss Nancy Vautier, Oriental Bay, will leave by* the Wanganella on October 26 for Sydney, en. route to Colombo, where her marriage will take place to Mr. Roland Wallingford, of Travancore, India.
