The Late Mr. Holland
Sir. —It is necessary. I suppose, to inform you that I am not n member or an adherent, of the Labour Party. Many of your readers will regret the ungenerous language and feeling of your leading article which was to serve, ns an obituary notice of the late Mr. H. E. Holland. It seemed so carefully negative and so studied in its irrelevance that it is desirable to assure the friends of the late Mr. Holland that his life and work are not regarded by all with the cold disapproval that rour article conveyed.—l am. etc.. R. G. C. McNAB.
Mr. J. McCarthy, Waipuknran. -inri Mr. A. Whyte, also write in eulogistic termfi of Mr. Holland’s services, and condemn the references made to his leadership.
