GRANTS TO BE MADE A letter was received from Dr. Fl A. Kepple, president of the Carnegie Corporation, at last evening’s meeting of the Victoria College Council, stating that it was his intention to recommend that favourable action.be taken in regard to a grant of 5000 dollars to the Victoria College, library. “We shall make the first annual payment of aooo dollars just as soon as formal action is taken by our committee,” he wrote. The college council will benefit to the extent of a 5000-dollar grant for three years. _______
