OPINION REVERSED
Wanganui Will Hold Show
Wanganui, September 14. Despite the fact that the finance committee recommended that no show bo held this year, the meeting reversed that opinion after hearing a comprehensive report prepared by Dr, G. J. Adams and Mr. A. R. Donaldson, who comprise the organisation committee. Both urged that a show be held in November to retain Wanganui’s prestige and to lay the foundations for a bigger effort next year. Dr. Adams appealed to the enthusiasm of the farmers and business people to support the project. Several members who came to oppose holding a show in November remained .to vote for it, there being no dissentient voice when the motion was put to the meeting. On Dr, Adams’s and Mr. Donaldson’s suggestion, a management committee of nine was appointed to take full charge of show arrangements. It will meet fortnightly during the three months prior to a show and monthly during the remainder of the year. The general committee will meet quarterly. The management committee was elected by ballot as follows:—Dr. G. J. Adams; Mrs. S. Milne, Messrs. A. R. Donaldson, E, Zeisler, T. Wright, J. C. Williams, J. Cooper, J. B!#ir, and J. Robb.
