DRAFT CONSTITUTION
Association of School Committees Palmerston North, September 14. Following on a protest from the Palmerston North Central School Committee regarding the delay in-the formulation of a constitution for the Palmerston North Combined School Committees' Association, the association last night appointed a sub-committee to bring forwafd a draft constitution. After discussing the voting strength, of the schools represented on the association the meeting decided to recommend to the sub-committee that the voting strength should be three votes for a committee with nine members, two votes for a committee with seven members, and one vote for a committee with five members. The secretary, Mr. F. T, Vasey, said that under this arrangement the country schools would hare 21 votes and the city schools 24 votes. Several remits from school committees were held over until the constitution of the association is finalised.
