Ideas ABOUT LINOLEUM
(Copyright.) Linoleum squares should seldom be washed, and they will seldom need, washing if treated frequently with a good wax polish. Much labour can be saved by fitting linoleum to shelves in cupboards. An occasional wipe over with a damp rag will keep shelves neat and clean. Inlaid linoleum is more economical in the long run than printed lino. It costs about half as much again aud lasts three times as long! . . If linoleum is not inlaid, it will quickly lose its'pattern unless protected with a coat of waterproof varnish. When applying this varnish it is well to remember that two thin coats properly worked in are much better than one thick coat. If linoleum is to be rolled up.and stored away for future use, see that it is stored in a warm, dry place. Cold and damp will make it become stiff and liable to crack when ‘ unrolled. In rooms that are covered with linoleum, do not have small mats if there are children in the house, as many injuries are caused by the mats slipping from under children’s feet. iiiniiiiiiimiiimiiiiiHiiimmimiimiiim
