Karon Club Meeting A membership of 41 was recorded in the report of the Karori Defence Rifle Club, presented at the annual'meeting of the club this week. - During the past season 22 club members completed the musketry course required by- Defence Department regulations, and all qualified. Thirteen club members had competed at the National Rifle Association’s meeting, and the deputy-president, Mr. H. V. Croxton, had won the King’s Prize. , The finances of the club were reported tq.be in a satisfactory condition. It was decided to hold the opening of the season on Saturday, September 30. The following office-bearers were elected:—Patron. W. H. Field, M.P.;' vice-patron, W. J. Blundell; vice-presidents, Dr. Bolt, Messrs. A. Collins, W. Cowan. Col. G. T. Hall, P. J. McArdle. L. R. McKelvie. Major G. Stamp-Taylor, M.C., W. Tarr, E. Witcombe; president, H. T. Marshall, M.C.: deputy-presidents, W. Judd, H. V. Croxton. L. A. Caldwell; hon. secretary, J. I. King; hon. treasurer. A. R. Craig; hon. auditor. R. D. Potts; committee, T. H. R. Boon, R. Caughley. H. Franklanfl, B. C. H. Rockel; selector and handicapper, P. B. Goldfinch: delegates to Wellington Rifle Association, H. T. Marshall. H. V. Croxton.
