WIN FOR RUMBERG
Wrestling Match at Timaru Bi Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, September 14. An elimination bout in the New Zealand wrestling championship between Hal Rumberg and Hank Oswald resulted in a win for Rumberg, who secured a fall in the seventh'round. The bout, which was witnessed by a moderate house, was a tame one, the pair indulging in a good deal of showmanship. A section of the crowd counted them out. Both indulged in a good many flying tackles, the only result being twice to smash the ring. In the seventh round Rumberg swung Oswald round and round and let go, Oswald flying through the ropes and striking his head on the floor. Rumberg picked his opponent up and dumped him hard, securing a fall with a body press.
