It is understood that one of those in the syndicate holding the winning ticket in the “Lucky Chance” art union is Mr. John Gladstone Riddler, who lives at 69 Hutt Road, Petone. The ticket was taken out in the name of J. Gladstone, 53 Richmond Street, Petone.” . , . . Mr. Riddler, who is a dental mechanic, is a single .man, and about 30 years of age. It is believed that the ticket was bought in Petone. Although the ticket was taken out in his name, Mr, T. A. Johnston, the winner of the third prize, has no share in it, “The Dominion” was told. He had bought it at John Street on the closing day for three friends with whom he had been conversing, it was explained. He had used his own name and address because he could not be sure of the correct addresses of the others.
