Ideas.. ABOUT OLIVE OIL
Both, for internal and external application, this oil has a wide field of usefulness, beyond its usual one beside the salad.
For instance, chilled salmon benefits tremendously by the addition of a dessertspoonful of olive oil to the water in which it is cooked. It does away with the dry taste, and restores the natural flavour. Chops and steaks icKich you suspect of being tough will benefit greatly too, by being rubbed ivith olive oil before cooking. Thin and weakly children visibly improve if given a spoonful of the oil every morning. The addition of a little orange juice will take away any sickliness.
For children’s coughs and colds, beside inside application, rubbing the chest and back with olive oil will be found very efficacious.
Dry and brittle hair will also welcome its ministrations. A little oil rubbed into the roots regularly 'will restore the lustre of the hair. Just before shampooing, rub in an extra generous application.
While for keeping chamois and skin gloves soft and pliable after washing, you doubtless already know that there is nothing like adding to the water a fetv spots of our old friend olive oil!
