Bright Play Witnessed at All Centres
CLUB COMPETITIONS CONTINUED
Rugby matches in the province on Saturday afternoon were played in favourable weather. At Palmerston North, Kia .Toa suffered their first defeat of the season, going down to United, 8-0. Chief interest in the Wairarapa centred in the GreytownRed Star match. A record crowd for the season saw last year’s championship winners defeated by Greytown by a margin of one point. At Wanganui, Kaierau maintained' their unbeaten record by defeating Pirates by 13 points to 3.
