DR. DILLON DEAD
Famous Correspondent Barcelona, June 9. The death is announced of Dr. Emile Joseph Dillon, correspondent of • the London "Daily Telegraph.” Dr Dillon was one of the world’s most famous war correspondents. . He was born in Ireland, his mother being an English woman and his father Irish. He was educated at the College de b rance, Pans, and the Universities at Innsbruck. Leipzig. Tubingen. Petrograd (Master Jf Oriental Languages). Louvain (Doctor of Oriental Languages and Literature), and Kharleoff (Doctor of Comparative Philology and Professor). He was editoi of a number of foreign publications, ami correspondent of the London ’Daily lelv graph.” He also acted as special correspondent in Armenia during trmibloudays, in Crete, and at the Dreyfus tiial. He attended the Portsmouth Peace Conference in 1904 as adviser to Count '' itt*. He was in Portugal during the revolution, and attended the Pence Conference at Paris in 1918. Dr. Dillon was the autlim of many books and articles on Enroncan subjects. He was twice married I-irst to a Russian lady, vvlm left three sons, and secondly to Miss Kathleen Ireland of Belfast Ireland.
