Geneva Recommendations WORLD CONFERENCE PLAN Geneva, June 9. The Labour Conference, through the French delegate, M. Leon Jouhaux, is presenting a resolution to the Economic Conference recommending the restoration of monetary conditions, the international prevention of the fluctuation of prices, the elimination of exchange restrictions and. trade impediments, and an increase of the purchasing power of the community by providing a living standard for workers. It is also suggested that there should be a recirculation of idle capital through a public works policy. . t TJie German delegate protested at tne Labour Conference’s refusal to nominate Germans and Italians on commissions. German as Representative (Received June 11, 7.30 p.m.) Geneva, June 10. The International Labour Conference, by nine votes to six, including Italians, Germans, and Japanese, decided to admit the German, Herr Ley. as workers’ representative. Nine governmental delegations, including British, French and Spanish, abstained from voting.
