At Vaduz, in the Republic of Liechtenstein, the trial was held in connection with the death of the brothers Alfred and Fritz Rotter, who met their deaths at the hands of gunmen. Herr Schaedler, the proprietor of the hotel to which the Rotters were lured, was sentenced to a year’s imprisonment. Three other accused men were .sentenced to only a few months. Alfred and the women struggled free and jumped down a ravine. Frau Wolf was found injured, the other two dead. In the meantime the kidnappers secured 4 Fri:z and drove furiously toward the Austrian Tyrol. Fritz at Tricsenberg leapt from the car and fractured his skull. The police stooped the car in the Tyrol and arrested the occupants, who were placed in gaol at Feldkirch.
