On .Saturday evening next in the Town Hall Welli'ugtoniuns will have the opportunity of hearing lor the first time Miss Mary Pratt, the brilliant Dunedin contralto. who has been advised by Mr. John Brownlee, the celebrated baritone of the Paris Opera House, to train for the Paris Opera. Alter hearing Miss Pratt sing. Mr. Brownlee said :—‘‘There is not. a voice like this in France.
