WESTPORT POLLING
Election of New Mayor Westport, May 4. Keen interest, was taken, to-day in tiie mayoral election, in which there were fo.ur candidates. The voting was as follows: Mr. John Kilkenny, 482; Mr. John Menzies, 450; Mr. George Scandrett, 297; Mr. Cliff Thomas, 254. The new mayor, Mr. Kilkenny, has not previously held public office, but is recognised as a keen business man.
