NEW DUNEDIN MAYOR
The Rev. E. T. Cox Elected Dunedin, May 4. The mayoral election resulted: The Rev. E. T, Cox, 10,742; Mr. R. S. Black, 8782; Mr. F. W. Mitchell, 6195; Mr. M. O’Rorke, 213; Mr. C. M. Moss, 102. For the St. Hilda mayoralty, Mr. J. Beattie, with 1123 votes, was re-elect-ed. Mr. E. Longworth received 957 votes, and Mr. A. Smiley 559. For the Port Chalmers mayoralty Mr. John Watson was re-elected with I 533 votes. Mr. G. F. Mirams received 390 votes, and Mr. Anderson 302.
