BOWLING TACTICS
English County Cricket WONDER ABOUT LARWOOD London, May 2. County cricket opens to-morrow, and the newspapers are wondering whether Larwood will adopt body-line bowling. The "Mirror" considers that the M.C.C. is certain to reject the Australian rule, as acceptance would be tantamount to the admission that the Englishmen resorted to unfair tactics, which is unthinkable. The rule is unnecessary in England because it has never been suggested here that any bowler intends to injure the batsman.
