MAIL TRAIN DERAILED
Number Killed and Injured SABOTAGE SUSPECTED (Received May 3, 7.15 p.m.). Calcutta, May 2. The Punjab mail train was derailed 273 miles from Calcutta, early this morning. It is reported that a number of people were killed and injured. The telegraph wires were cut and sabotage is suspected. Two nights ago an attempt was made to derail the Dellii-Ahmedabad express, but the driver pulled up in time. Heavy blocks of stone were placed on the line.
