Reduction in Some Premium Rates / ’ EARLY NOTIFICATION “A notification of the premiums payable under the third-party insurance scheme for the year 1933-34 will be gazetted this week,” said the Minister of Transoort, Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, in an in. view last evening. Mr. Coates explained that the existing premium rates were not subject to any increase, but that on the other hand there were a number of substantial decreases in respect of certain vehicles of the public passenger carrying type. The Minister added that the operating figures of the insurance companies undertaking the third-party business had been very closely examined, and the new rates were directly based on the results of experience shown in respect of the classes of vehicles to which they referred.
