German Film on Soccer
The attention of the council of the New Zealand Football Association wns drawn on Tuesday evening by Mr. J. A. Milburn to a film which had been produced by the South German Football Association, giving over 200 practical illustrations of f.he appuication of the Laws of the Game. It has been captioned in English and three other languages. Mr. Milburn said he had been greatly impressed by the information, and if there were many copies of the film available particulars of cost should be obtained with a view to having it. shown in the main centres of the Dominion. In Australia, said Mr. Milburn, the surf and life-saving clubs had a film showing the various methods of resuscitation from drowning and the surf boat at. work. It was shown nt Christchurch, and created vast interest. It was proposed to secure the film for exhibition in Wellington and throughout New Zealand. The chairman. Mr. B. L. Salmon, agreed that the idea was an excellent one. He suggested that General Madocks. representative of the N.Z. Football Association in London, be written to'asking him to make inquiries in the direction indicated and inform the council. The proposal was adopted.
