Breaking, Entering, Theft POLICE CASES YESTERDAY Ou three charges of breaking and entering aud theft, a Alaori labourer, Alami Tomuuu, aged 23, who appeared before Mr. E. Pago, S.M., .at the Police Court yesterday, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Accused pleaded guilty to entering the premises of Harry Fun, Vivian Street, Tacr Yam, 'Taranaki Street, and Peter Chung. Taranaki Street, and stealing a variety of articles. The magistrate made an order for the return of the recovered goods to their owners. Sidney AVilliam Morris, an engineer, aged 4G.' who pleaded guilty to a charge of being idle and disorderly, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. It was stated that accused had begged for alms in Customhouse Quay. Alorris said that he was under tiie influence of liquor when he committed the offence. An order was made for the issue of a warrant for the arrest of Frederick Newsome, a. prohibited immigrant: who had not. reported regularly to the police. An undertaking had recently been given to the court: by accused that he would leave the country. He had purchased a ticket for Sydney and left: it witli the police until Hie sailing of tiie Maunganui. but. since .Monday he had not: reported at, the police station as ordered.
