Launch Engine Fails To have the engine of their launch break down when they were only three miles away from New Plymouth and be forced to spend the night in the open sea during a gale, huddled together in the bottom of the boat for warmth, while they drifted before a strong southerly, was the experience of two New Plymouth men, Messrs. A. Hunter and D. Robinson, one night last week. When the dawn broke the men were 20 miles west of New Plymouth. Fortunately they were able to restart their engine and return to New Plymouth under their own power.
