Retail Prices in City Shops EGGS 2/2 TO 2/6 A DOZEN ■With the exception of fruit ami vegetables, household commodity prices show little difference from those of last week. Eggs have risen again and are now selling at 2/2 to 2/0 a dozen. Butter is unchanged at Bd. Butter beans and apple cucumbers are now practically off the market; outdoor cucumbers have gone up from Id to 4d to 4d to Gd each; and French beans are selling at 4d to 6d a lb. New Zealand lemons have appreciated by fid a dozen, while bananas have come down in price. Hothouse grapes -are bringing 1/- to 2/- a lb., a rise of 2d to 4d over last week. Passionfruit can be bought for 8d to 1/- a dozen. Meat and fish prices remain unaltered.
