Cape Gooseberry; Pie Melon
A reader has kindly set this rccii>e in answer to a Fordell render's request : — Use 31b. Capo gooseberries, 41b. piemelon, chopped fine (or miuced is better), 1 quart of water, and 21b. of sugar to ench lb. of fruit. Cover sugar over melon, and let. it stand over night. Next morning add water and Cape gooseberries, and Iwil till thick and well set (not Ice's Gian 1J hours).
