Dogs and Lost Trampers
Sir, —“Vox Clamantis” and “Do it Now” have voiced a matter that has been in my mind for some time. It may be that these two correspondents arc not aware that this club is able and wilting to obtain from England the type of dogs required for the purpose of tracing people who are lost in tramping or in any other way. The club would be prepared to import and keep dogs at their headquarters so that they might be available at any time for any purpose. In virtue of the work for which they are required the actual cost of keep only would be charged. Hounds so obtained are from the best and most reliable source obtainable. If the tramping clubs are interested I shall be pleased to give them fall information if they will communicate with me.—l am, etc., P. R. WINGROVE, Secretary, Tail-Waggers’ Club of N.Z., Inc. Wellington, May 1.
