Funds of Justices’ Assn.

Sir, —In your columns I. read of the Wellington Justices of the Peace Association donating £lO to a charitable institution. I have no quarrel witli the merits, of: tlie institution, but, sir, I strongly object to the small executive of the justices’ association disbursing our funds in a manner calculated to create a feeling that we are not dispensing justice. What of the. claims of the many other charitable institutions? lam not alone in my belief ’that our surplus funds were intended for use among prisoners’ aid societies, etc., but if the justices’ association executive have sufficient after that object is provided for they should ba careful to dispense justice.—l am, etc.. JUSTICE OF THE PEACE.
