Bankruptcy 1 Law Point By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, May 1. An important point in bankruptcy law w:ts determined by Mr. Justice MacGregor in the Supreme Court today, when Albert Edward Henry Moffat, of Kirwee. builder, and Anuat Lionel Moffat, of Christchurch, farmer, executors and trustees in the estate of Joseph Moffat, applied for determination by the court of the claims of David Alexander Prentice, of ’Wellington, and the Official Assignee in Bankruptcy, and of Otto Cyril Cuthbert Moffat, of Napier, contractor, to a sum of money loft by Joseph Motia to his son, Otto Moffat, and assigned by him before his bankruptcy to Prentice as security for debt. The amount involved was £S7/19/10. His Honour held that Mr. Prentice was entitled to succeed, and made an order accordingly.
