Effect Upon Dominions
COMPULSORY QUOTAS
London, April 28.
The “Sun” correspondent is mformed that an unpleasant surprise awaits Australia and New Zealand in the Argentine Trade Treaty, which it is believed will include an assurance that if Britain imposes compulsory as against the existing voluntary restrictions on meat imports, the imposition will bear equally upon foreigners and the Dominions. •< • This does not imply that compulsion is imminent, but if such a clause is included it will conflict with the Ottawa agreements.
