SALE OF DEBENTURES
The efficacy of advertising was acknowledged by Mr. W. S. Wharton, secretary of the North Canterbury Hospital Board, who, when speakitig of the sale of debentures in the board’s 51 per cent. £34,900 loan, told a Christchurch “Press” reporter recently that prior to advertising in the newspaper, applications had come in slowly and spasmodically; since advertising. there had been a steady demand for these debentures. To date, about £7OOO worth had been sold.
