Railway Buffet Charges

Sir, —It is time someone took up this matter of excessive charges. lam only a woman, but, like “Observer,” 1 have had to pay, and for a cup of tea and a sandwich for myself and two children when travelling, it has cost me 2/- each time. This makes railway travelling very expensive and in future I am considering using the road where refreshments can be obtained at a much lower cost. It is to be hoped that the attention of the railway authorities will be drawn to tids important matter and that some redress will be given.—l am, etc.. ANOTHER VICTIM. Maranui, January 24. [The department's reply to correspondents who have criticised the railway station refreshment charges appeared m Wednesday's "Dominion.”]
