The Y.M.C.A. swimming Club held a 10V vards handicap poiuls race last Saturday‘at Te Aro Baths, the results being. K. C. Osborne (2sec.), 4; J. G. Y 1 (Ssee.), 2; J. XVhite <ssce.)., J. Time, 7J 2-ssec. Last evening the club swain a race over a similar distance in connection w its Tuesday competition. Ibe event resulted: D. McLachlan (2sec.), 1, <>• !>■ Hail (set-.), 2; J. C. XX'ilson (Sscc,), 3. Time, TUsec. ~. .. In connection with the clubs marathon swim.” E. E. Willetts was first to complete the reiiuired distance (b in 18 visits to the baths.. C- Wilson (3900). brom those taking part in this series the club hopes to enter a team m the I eek Shield harbour swim on February 4. although none of l lie members have previously swum in long-distance races.
