MYSTERY OF BIRD’S TRAVELS.
A Budapest newspaper lately reported that a strange birj, which was seen with two others of its species, had been shot in the village of Nagykata by an estate owner. . ■ . The bird, which is the size of a sparrow, coloured like a swallow, :md t carrying a tail over 20in. long, has been identified as a species of finch which is at home in South America. How these birds have reached Hungary is a mystery to the ornithologists.
