TOAST A LA KING

Required: Boz mushrooms, $ pint milk, 2 hard-boiled eggs, ,2 tablespoons flour, 13 tablepoons butter or margarine, 8 or 10 triangles buttered toast.

Peel, and slice mushrooms into a saucepan. Add butter and milk. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, or until mushrooms are tender, then stir in the flour, blended with a little of the milk. Simmer, stirring constantly for 2 or 3 minutes, till the sauce is thick and smooth, then season to taste. Add sliced, hard-boiled eggs gradually. When piping hot, divide mixture between the slices of toast. Decorate each with a whole cooked mushroom, or J teaspoon of heated minced pimento. Enough for 8 or 10 persons.
