Sir. —The suggestion to put poison into methylated spirits to prevent its consumption would seem to be rather dangerous. Could not the difficulty be greatly overcome by (a) issuing licenses to purchase; (b) making it illegal to purchase less than one gallon; (c) demanding a signature?
