Two Relief Workers on Hills Near Coromandel
REMARKABLE PERSEVERANCE

A rich find of gold is reported from Coromandel. Two relief workers, Messrs. A. S. Boswell and W. S. Sewell, who have been prospecting at the back of th'e hills near the town in their spare discovered, IS months ago, outcrops of two reefs, which gave good indications.
After driving 170 feet to one level and 150 to another they struck two reefs, 10 feet and 8 feet wide with small leaders junctioniug. The ofiiclal assays were 6oz. 4dwt 3gr. and 3oz. 4dwt. Sgr. respectively. The perseverance of these men has been remarkable. Working on relief in the day-time they have been driving and wheeling out quartz at night by candle light. They were working some distance from heavy bush and had cut all the timber. A large number of men is now out prospecting in adjacent areas.
