POULTRY BREEDERS
Association Conference Delegates to the Wellington Provincial Council o£ the New Zealand Poultry Association held a conference on Friday last. Messrs. F. C. Brown and A. Ironside, of the Department of Agriculture, and Mr. J. H. Kissling, poultry manager of Massey Agricultural College, .were also present. Before settling to business, delegates waited on the Minister of Agriculture to express appreciation of his work in connection with the PoultryAmendment Bill. Reports showed that the council had come through the year as well as could be expected. The net membership showed an increase of two societies. The following officers wefe elected: — President, Mr. G. S. Bates; vice-presi-dent, Mr. A..E. Salisbury; honorary sec-retary-treasurer, Mr. C. Gibson Young: honorary auditor, Mr. A. G. Mumby; committee, Messrs. A. Strawbridge, A. J. Maclaine, and A. J. Davey. Delegates to the Dominion conference were elected as follow: Messrs. G. S. Bates, T. Bruce, A. .T. Maclaine, A. J. Davey, A. Strawbridge, and A. E. Salisbury.
