“TRUTH”

“Truth” was the subject of the les-son-sermou in" all Churches of Christ, Scientist, yesterday. The Golden Test was from Psalm Ivii, 9, 10, “I will praise thee. O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto Thee among the nations. For Thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and Thy truth unto the clouds.” Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible: “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed ; and ye shall know the truth, and. the truth shall make you free” (John viii, 31. 32). Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook. “Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures,” by 'Mary Baker Eddy: “Tne effects of Christian Science are not so much seen as felt. It is the ‘still, small voice’ of truth uttering itself.” “It would sometimes seem as if truth were rejected because meekness and spirituality are the conditions of its acceptance? while Christendom generally demands so much less” (pp. 323. 343).
