ASSAULT ALLEGATION
Man Wounded in Head
Witli a wound in his scalp, alleged to be the result of an assault. P. Mitchell, a watchmaker, who lives in Riddiford Street, was admitted to hospital on Saturday afternoon. He had been, visiting acquaintances living in Newtown Avenue, and the police believe that he was subsequently involved in a quarrel. It is alleged that the injured man was struck on tlie head with a mirror or some other glass article and severely gashed.
Detectives are. pursuing investigations.
Yesterday the injured man was discharged from hospital.
