LAWN PARTIES IN VOGUE
QLD-FASHIONED lawn parties are in vogue again in Hollywood. Joan Crawford gave one recently, and a good time was had by all. Instead of the usual lanterns, tall spluttering candles and a bright November moon supplied the light. The garden was filled to overflowing with celebrities. White leather furniture made an interesting background. A "hot-dog” wagon supplied the necessary food. An old-fash-ioned sextet was formed by Clarke Gable. Ronald Colman, Ricardo Cortez. William Powell. Richard Bartheltness, and Fredric March. ‘Tis said that their harmonies were not as popular as they might have been.
