Taranaki Street Circuit
Officers from all parts of the circuit attended the quarterly meeting of the Taranaki' Street Methodist Circuit on Monday evening. The Rev. T. R. Richards presided, and welcomed the Rev. Dr. Ranston. principal of the Methodist Theological College at Auckland, who was present. The membership returns showed an increase of 13 members for the circuit, .and the statement, of income and expenditure was regarded as satisfactory. Permission was granted Webb Street to hold Sunday school anniversary celebrations at the end of March, and it was decided to hold Harvest Festival celebrations on Sunday, February 12. The election of officers resulted: — Circuit stewards, Messrs. L. J. Clarke and R. S. Maunder; Foreign Mission secretary, Mr. Arthur Richards; Foreign Mission treasurer, Mr. R. E. Herron ; representatives to the District Executive, Messrs. Maunder, Clark, and C. H. Hain; representatives to conference, Messrs. R. S. Maunder and W. E. Howe. Mr. R. W. F. Balcliin was appointed as envelope secretary vice Mr. A. I'l. Barrington, who had given excellent service for many years. Messrs. J. O. Priestley and R. S. Maunder reported upon the work and findings of the recent Methodist Synod . at Mastertom
