ATHLETIC CONTEST
Leading athletes of Canterbury and Wellington will be seen in action at the Basin Reserve on Saturday, when the interpvovincial contest will be staged. The Canterbury team is a strong one of sixteen athletes, including holders of several provincial and national titles, and tiie Wellington team includes several of New Zealand's leading field and track performers. One of the main events will be the half-mile between T. G. Broadway (Canterbury) and W. Ogg, who .yvere winner and runner-up respectively at last year's national championships. There will be a full programme of scratch and handicap events. A grand parade of the athletes will open the gathering.
