BULGARIAN PRINCESS
Baptism in Orthodox Church PROTEST BY VATICAN (Received Jan. 17, 10.15 pan.) Koine, Jan. 16. The Vatican is pained that the Bulgarian Royal Family have broken their promise to raise their children as Catholics, and baptised the baby Princess in the Orthodox Church. A Vatican official reiterates that the education of the children as Catholics is an essential condition of mixed marriages. It is stated that the Vatican is awaiting the Queen’s recovery to ascertain whether she consented. If she' did not dissociate herself from the baptism she will not be received by the Pope. A dignitary deplored the unchivalrous nature of the deceit of the Queen, also rushing the ceremony before the arrival of her mother.
