Karori Club’s Championship SCRATCH TROPHY TO KING The Karori Defence Rifle Club held tne fourth of its series of championship shoots over the 800 and 900 yards ranges at Trentham on Saturday. The standard of shooting was high, fourteen of the members reaching the club standard, 89. There was a fairly strong but steady wind blowing. but the light was good. J. I. King again showed great form by winning the scratch weekly trophy, his scores being 47 at 800 yards, and 48 at 900 yards. B. C. H. Rockel won the handicap weekly trophy with an excellent gun score of 48—46—0 —94. Detailed scores were as follow :—

P. Andrews, 36 —35—-9 —80: B. G. Goldfinch, 38 —32— -1— <4. Three shorts and one long have been fired for the championship. Dropping tlie lowest score of the four shoots the position is as follows :—Championship: IL V. Croxton. 275; J. I. King, 274; T. 11. R. Boon, 270. , Handicap Aggregate.—Rankin, 2<6; ->• C. H. Rockel, 274; H. C. Boon, 2ib. Next Saturday the club will shoot the first portion of the C.A.C. and Bertram Cups over the 300, 500 and 600 yards ranges. ___________
