Satisfactory Clearances Made (Received Jan. 17, 9.55 p.m.) Sydney, Jan. 17. At (lie Sydney wool sales to-day 10,2-10 bales were offered, of which 9036 were sold nt auction and 346 disposed of privately. The market continued firm, and wns unchanged at previous day’s rates. Comebacks crossbreds met with a brisk demand, and sold readily at recently improved levels. Satisfactory clearances were effected. Greasy merino sold to 16}d. The average price of wool sold last week was £ll/1/7 per bale, or 8.59 per pound.
