GUARANTOR CLAUSE
N.S.W. Moratorium Bill GOVERNMENT VICTORY Sydney, Dec. 14. After two more defeats in the Upper House on the Moratorium Bill the Government secured the adoption of the vital guarantor clause, the cause of last week’s setback, without division. The clauses defeated last week were reinserted. Two <1 (’feats were suffered last week by the State Government on the Moratorium Bill. It was then anounced that if the Government was not assured of a majority in the Upper House by Tuesday to carry the Bill without vital amendments, the Governor would probably be asked to make additional appointments. The number mentioned was between 15 and 20. Cabinet decided to adjourn the sittings of the. Council, until Tuesday in order that Ministers in the meantime might have an opportunity to formulate plans.
