MISSING MAIL
Remuera’s Consignment REGISTERED ARTICLES Official Details of Losses Further details of the three bags of registered mail matter from the liner Reniuera, which arrived at Wellington from London on October 2 last, have been received from the British Post Office by the Secretary, General Post Office. Wellington. It is established that 168 registered articles in all are missing by the mail in question. The great majority were for North Island destinations. The articles originated for the majority in England and a considerable number in Scotland. The offices of posting and the registered numbers borne by the articles are known to the Post Office. Particulars are not recorded, however, of the addressees; and the department is unable to intimate to whom the various articles were addressed.
