DELIGHTFUL PARTY
University Women’s Club As a fitting termination to the many activities during the year of the University Women’s Club, a delightful party was held on Monday evening. The rooms looked very gay, and the tables presented a very animated appearance. Before partaking of supper a fine musical programme was given, consisting of piano solos by Mrs. Fraser and Miss Beckway, recitations by Miss G. Hind, and songs by Miss M. Davies. This was followed by an excellently rendered play reading, entitled “A Marriage has been Arranged,” the cast being Mrs. Yaldwyn and Miss Palmer. An amusing competition was won by Miss Davies. After supper several toasts were honoured. On behalf of the members Miss Watson presented Miss Joy with a small gift in token of appreciation of her service to the club. Among those present were: Miss Watson, in black diamante; Mrs. Corkill, jade and ecru; Miss Palmei\ peau d’ange jade; Miss Hind, jade, silver lace; Mrs. G. G. Watson, carnation pink and green; Miss Eeatonby, Empire frock; Miss Mclntosh, scarlet georgette and silver tissue; Miss Seaton, blaes georgette; Mrs. Wiren, gold satin; Miss Van Staveren, silver lame; Mrs. Fraser, beige lace and brown velvet; Mrs. Burnell, brown, russet ring velvet.; Mrs. Green, cherry couple satin; Mrs. O’Donnell, cyclamen beige lacc; Mrs. McKellar Smith, geranium red and black georgette
