CRUELTY TO CATS
Two Abhorrent Cases By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Dec. 14. A case of abhorrent cruelty was reported to the Dunedin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals by its inspector, who stated that an investigation showed that a cat’s tongue had been cut out at the root. A fortnight earlier a cat belonging to an adjacent house had been discovered with its hind legs fastened together with wire twisted through the sinews. The police are endeavouring to trace the culprit.
