CABINET AT WORK
Long Discussions Held Yesterday TALK WITH BANKERS Long hours were spent by the Cabinet yesterday in discussing the general economic position preliminary to the preparation of further emergency legislation. Two meetings were again held, one in the afternoon and another in the evening, and it is expected that meetings will be held every night right up to the holidays. Representatives of the banks were present at the afternoon meeting, and although it is understood no attempt was made to consider in complete detail any specific plan, it is believed that there was a full and frank talk on the general situation, and the possible alternative steps that might be taken to meet the position in the New Year.
